Analytical Data Storage

The main difference of our standard solution is the storage of primary data rather than aggregated, similar to SrBank CBS objects, with automatic real-time data replication, in a structure optimized for fast data reading.

This product allows you to significantly reduce the load on the product OLTP server by transferring the construction of analytical queries / reports to another OLAP server, with other optimization modes and practically different solution architecture.

The main purpose of using OLAP is to analyze data and present the results of this analysis in a form convenient for perception and decision making. The main idea of OLAP is to build analytical data marts, incl. in the form of multidimensional cubes, with various mechanisms, such as Drill Down, which will be convenient for both business analysts and business representatives directly. Our solution, first of all, ensures the transfer, completeness and integrity of data in the DWH scheme.

It is possible to connect any list of heterogeneous systems to this Data Storage using either our ETL tools, or standard Oracle tools, or those of other manufacturers.

One of the examples of the effective usage of an analytical repository is its implementation in the DGF, where an analytical repository was built on the basis of this solution, to consolidate primary data of about 90 banks with 9 types of ABS and 4 different databases.

This solution implements the basic requirements for OLAP systems:

  • Support for high-speed data retrieval from storage

  • Completeness and reliability of stored data
  • Available convenient tools for viewing data in storage

The Data Storage has a built-in constructor, both in Desktop and WEB implementations, for visualizing data marts, a built-in report generator, as well as a whole set of technological tools for full-fledged work.

It is possible to use modern BI tools from various manufacturers, primarily due to the large number of convenient built-in functions for both manipulating and displaying data, incl. on mobile devices.

The functional and technological features of the Data Storage include the following:

  • Availability of a data loading/unloading mechanism: by schedule, an event or manually. Full data load and reload for any day
  • Available mode of constant unloading of information for an active day
  • Support for continuous operation of the storage and the main system in 24/7 mode without technological stops
  • Control mechanism for replicated data, not only in terms of integrity, but also with the ability to configure various mechanisms for reconciling financial data
  • Mechanism for automatic reconciliation of daily balances and turnovers by the event of closing the trading day in the ABS
  • Mechanism for automatic synchronization of ABS data with the storage upon changes in data in the ABS for any period (changes are tracked by the main events (Insert, Update, Delete ) in the ABS
  • Available authority system to configure user access to the storage data at the level of tasks and reports
  • Keeping records of all uploaded files and all possible errors when receiving data
  • Consolidation and storage of protocols and the files themselves according to NBU reporting XML
